2017 Nov 9

NEWTON, Mass. (11/8/17) -- The Lasell College women's volleyball team boasts three Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC) All-Conference selections, as announced by the conference office Tuesday afternoon.

Junior Olivia Addington (Orange, Calif.) is the lone Lasers to earn First Team honors. A Second Team selection a year ago, Addington completed her best season in her collegiate career. Addington contributed 440 kills, and 317 digs in 34 matches, including becoming only the third student-athlete in Lasell history to reach 1,000 kills in a historic GNAC Quarterfinal victory over conference newcomer Regis on October 31.

Seniors Caitlyn Garcia (Moreno Valley, Calif.) and Taylor Tiezzi (Meriden, Conn.) round out the Lasers All-Conference selections, each receiving the honor for the first time in their careers.

Garcia boasted 644 Digs, 74 assists, and 4 kills in 35 matches this season. Garcia's milestone season was highlighted by becoming only the second libero to reach 2,000 career digs, and the first since 2010. On October 18th, Garcia recorded her 2,000th dig in a 3-1 home victory over crosstown rival Mount Ida.

Tiezzi earns Third Team selections after a milestone season. Finishing her senior campaign with 892 assists, Tiezzi moved to second all-time with 2880 assists.

In the Lasers' non-conference loss to Bridgewater State, Tiezzi recorded her 1,000th career dig. Tiezzi is only the third women's volleyball student-athlete to reach the 2,000 assists, 1,000 digs milestone.

The Lasers three All-Conference selections mark the most in program history since joining the GNAC in 2007.
