Lasell University students from the School of Fashion attended the Coterie and MAGIC trade shows at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City in February.

Lasell University student competitors at the recent DECA regional tournament qualified for the ICDC International Conference, where they will face off against other collegiate entrants in areas including fashion merchandising, retail management, travel and hospitality, human resources, sales, and marketing management.

This week EJ Day (Norwalk, Conn.) was named a finalist for the prestigious award that is the Jostens Trophy. He is the third Laser to be named a finalist for the award, floowing Jose Guitian (2009) and Armin Omanovic (2017). Lasers Head Coach Aaron Galletta was also a finalist for the award in 2002 during his playing days at Union College.

The Lasell Lasers moved to 2-0 in conference play on Wednesday, as they defeated the Anna Maria AMCATS by a final score of 13-3. The Lasers are now 2-2 overall, while the AMCATS are 1-3.

Auburndale, FL - The Lasell Lasers Softball team split the final two games of their Spring Break trip in Florida, beating Oswego 12-4 and falling to Wesleyan 4-3. The Lasers are now 5-5 on the season.

Newton, MA - The Lasell Lasers defeated the Saint Joseph Blue Jays by a final score of 15-7 on Saturday. The Lasers move to 3-4 on the season and 1-0 in conference play, while USJ is now 3-3 and 0-1.

The Lasell Lasers split their doubleheader on Thursday, falling to Minnesota-Morris 6-2, and beating Ripon 6-4. The Lasers are now 4-4 on the season.

Lasell University piloted a new undergraduate course this year in which students earn two professional certifications: Mental Health First Aid from the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, and Ageism First Aid from the Gerontological Society of America.

Last week the GNAC announced their Indoor Track and Field awards, and the Lasell Women's Track team was awarded the GNAC Team Sportsmanship Award.

The Lasell Lasers Softball team opened their season with a doubleheader on Sunday. They lost their first game against St. Norbert by a score of 9-2. They then bounced back against Beloit, winning 8-6. The Lasers are now 1-1 on the season.

The Lasell Men's Lacrosse team won their first game of the season over Plymouth State on Tuesday by a final score of 5-4 in overtime. The Lasers are now 1-2 on the season, while the Panthers are now 3-1.

In their second match against #1 Stevens, the Lasers fell 19-25, 16-25, 15-25.The Lasers are now 9-7, while Baruch is 5-7, and Stevens is 19-2.

Northborough, MA - The Lasell Lasers baseball team opened their 2023 season with a win, defeating the Emerson Lions 10-9 in 10 innings on Saturday. The win gives the Lasers their first season opening since 2020.

The GNAC named Shirle Major the final GNAC Rookie of the Week.

The College Sports Communicators announced their 2022-2023 Academic All District Teams this past week, and six Lasers were honored.
